Woodstock 1969 was much more than a music festival, it became a symbol of a generation on the move. Over 400,000 people celebrated peace, freedom and community for three days, while legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Sly and the Family Stone, The Who and Janis Joplin gave unforgettable performances. Despite rain and chaos, Woodstock shaped the attitude towards life of the hippie era and is still considered a milestone in music history today.
